As 2002 wound to a close, when we weren’t sitting around a pool drinking we weren’t doing anything, because we pretty much spent every night doing just that.

One one memorable occasion sitting around Irons pool drinking, we were joined by a web-footed friend; a common Australian bush-duck. So as we are swigging away at our Aussie lager, this duck (who was injured and couldn’t fly) just paddled around the pool keeping it real, as ducks do. Read more

In our Final year at university and with new and exciting friendships building. The 4 UWS boys Matty Dogg, Lowey, Pomp’s and Maxey decided it was time to celebrate another boring business lecture and head to Movavale or ‘Mona’ for a big night on the cans. To refer to the bottles of Bacardi as ‘cans’ was a new lingo introduced by the North Shore born and bred Matty Dogg. Read more

Waking up in someone else’s house with a hangover is an all too common occurance within the All Nightaz. But being woken up by a B-grade Aussie celebrity’s voice blasting colourful language in your ear is one of those rare and random incidents that I hope will be a reoccuring theme in the brand new “Good Times, Great Stories” category. For the last five plus years our group has been hanging out we have been involved in countless adventures, random encounters, drunken antics, close calls, risk takings, dangerous bets and too many pass-outs to count.

Many a time have we sat around the ol’ drinkin’ table rekindling picking our memories and sharing our stories with one another, talking about how good it was back in the “old days” with no full-time job, no committments, just an easy life where our only worry was when to next get together for a drink.

So I’ve started this category to share some of these stories in a more concrete format. Read more
