There
This is a shout-out to Losty who completed his last exam today and is now officially a CCNP. For those of you who don’t know what a CCNP is, it’s an industry certification - the Cisco Certified Network Professional.
The candidate must hold their CCNA in order to attempt the CCNP. The CCNP consists of 4 gruelling exams which test all aspects of networking theory with a focus on Cisco equipment. Whilst there are some proprietary elements to the certification, a lot of it is based on industry standards. What this means is that the technologies aren’t limited to Cisco and the theory behind them can be applied using many other vendor equipment.
Congratulations Losty - all the hard work, effort and sacrifice has paid off. So the question now is… when are you going to tackle your first CCIE?
